TO RELAX
Do you wish to get away from everyday chaos ?
Would you like to enjoy the silence, which is only
broken by the rustle of the leaves on the trees and the singing birds ? |
SPORT
Do you like mountain biking and trekking ?
The valleys of the Taro and Ceno rivers offer a
number of different routes, some suitable for beginners, others for experts. The Varano
de' Melegari racetrack, the riding school, wing shooting, hang gliding and swimming pool
are all nearby.
The shooting season in the neighbouring
"Monte Capuccio" reserve is from September up to the end of
January.
One can fish in the Taro and Ceno rivers from
April to October. |
NATURE
The flora and fauna are typical of the Tuscan-Emilian
Apennines all of which grow and proliferate naturally and are uncontaminated. |
A LITTLE
BIT OF CULTURE ENRICHES YOUR HOLIDAY
Just
40/50km. away you can visit all the most interesting places in the Province of Parma: from
the Bardi and Fontanellato castles, to the romantic churches of Fornovo and
Berceto,
without forgetting to visit the beautiful palaces, theatres and museums in Parma
itself. |
FOR
THOSE OF YOU WHO ENJOY GOOD FOOD
The
Province of Parma is one of the best known in Italy for its delicious products (who hasn't
heard of Parma ham, salami, culatello and Parmesan cheese ?).
There are many samll restaurants or
"trattorie" which specialise in the delicious Parmesan cuisine ("tortelli
di magro", "tortellini" in broth", tripe, various types of roasts).
The prices are reasonable and one can buy all the gastronomical products and local wine
directly from the producers. |
......and if you want to spend a day at the
sea......
the beaches in the Versilia area or the marine
park at the Cinque Terre are only an hour's drive from "The Sunset Chalet".
